Meet Alice

Forage & Blossom by name and by nature. I’m Alice, founder of Forage & Blossom. I am a floral designer with an artistic background inspired by all things organic, off-beat and botany based. I love to embrace the natural kinks and flairs of flowers and allow the blooms to flaunt themselves. My designs are influenced by the wild textured layers of the natural world and I like to bring in rich depth with scent, foliage and texture which awaken the senses.

Working with flowers was probably written in the stars for me. Ever since I can remember I was my Mum’s shadow in the garden; chief dead header, blackberry picker (one for me, one for the tub) and seed sower. Having weaved my way through an artistic education and an assortment of jobs in design I found myself, as if being called, plunging into the world of floristry. I love it and wonder how I never discovered this world before.

Now with my own weddings and events floristry business and an expanding cutting garden to source from my style is constantly evolving with the inspiration I take from the surrounding natural world, whilst still drawing from the design world I trained in.

I approach each brief individually and with a sense of adventure. From an initial consultation I will work with you and take the time to understand your vision and taste in order to create a personal and unique floral scheme which reflects you for your special day.

Forage and Blossom flowers as much as possible are British grown; where possible I try to source my flowers from local growers and my own cutting garden. I’m also always discovering little riches from a forage in the hedgerow.
