Roz & Sophie’s beautiful barn and PapaKata teepee wedding

Oh wow. Sometimes the weddings are just extra special and for me this one was one of those. Roz & Sophie had planned a beautiful outdoor ceremony, but mother nature had other ideas and decided to piss it down British style. So plan B and we were inside a beautiful barn at Hornington Manor bringing the outdoors in.

From the beginning Roz and Sophie were lovely to work with. I loved every minute of these guys’ wedding; from meeting them, getting to know them both and then being a little part of their special day. Oh and don’t miss the last image (beautiful images thanks to Wynn Davies Photography). Roz and Sophie showed me this one the day after their wedding during the clear up and it is beautiful. Unbelievably not photoshopped! Gave me goosebumps its so perfect.

The flowers were to be wild, romantic and a reflection of the british summer. (Yes this wedding is from last summer and I have that many weddings to catch up and share with you!) Roz and Sophie wanted similar, but different bouquets to reflect their different personalities and tastes. Roz basically wanted heres stuffed full of sweet peas! Mmmm. The colours were warm and natural to being gathered from a garden in June (which they were –  from mine and at Picked at Dawn‘s) with lots of peonies, orange blossom, sweet peas, foxgloves, delphiniums and beautiful english roses from The Real Flower Company. The scent from all the blooms was absolutely gorgeous.

After the wild garden style ceremony inside the barn, the reception followed in a fab PapaKata teepee in the garden. We dressed the tables with lots of sumptuous british blooms and had fun creating a hanging branch installation above top table with cascading rambling roses and orange blossom.

Enjoy the beautiful images from Wynn Davis Photography below.
