25 May Fresh Spring Wedding Flowers – Middleton Lodge, North Yorkshire
Nic & Rich’s wedding flowers were yet another favourite of mine! They married at Middleton Lodge in late February and it was a winter meets spring floral dream!
The staircase. Yes the staircase. There is an incredible flowing Georgian circular staircase in Middleton Lodge which wraps around the oval ceremony room. We dressed this with seasonal foliage wrapping around, cascading down and it built to spring florals at the bottom. In combination with the staircase we created cascading and trailing foliage chair ends to help enhance the already beautiful space and bring the outdoors in.
The first time I met Nic & Rich was the day before the wedding when I was preparing said staircase for the floral & foliage sensation! Nic approached me last year with a vision for her day, the sort of colours she liked and then just said ‘ do your thing’- Amazing!! Nic & Rich were busy bringing beautiful baby Ava into the world last December, so they were more than a little pre-occupied. They were incredibly relaxed and it was so much fun to bring their wonderful natural with a hint of botanical wedding vision to life.
Nic & Rich wanted an abundance of foliage and a feeling of bringing the outdoors in. We incorporated flowing foliage throughout the day from bouquets, to ceremony and into the marquee. The colour palette was fresh and seasonal with a touch of mustard and a few deep tones.
Flowers & foliage we used; muscari, eryngium, ranunculus, hellebores, parrot tulips, icelandic poppies, blossom, Romantike Antike Rose, Cafe Latte rose, Caramel Antike rose, myrtle, Prince Jardiniere rose, prunus, seasonal foliage and foraged beauties.
Congratulations Nic & Rich!!! A xxx
Here are a couple of videos of that incredible ceremony space dressed with our florals.
Some images I captured on the day, enjoy!
