18 Mar Kate & David; Barmbyfield Barn Winter Wedding Flowers
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Kate and David married in the depths of December last year at the beautiful Barmbyfield Barn. I loved this wedding so so much. Their wedding flowers were overflowing with seasonal wintry foliage and the soft nude colour tones from the flowers complimented beautifully.
From the beginning Kate and I clicked. The first time we ever spoke we spent nearly two hours chatting on Skype; we completely branched off topic and chatted away like we had known each other for years! When I delivered the bridal bouquets Kate cried (happy tears!) which nearly set me off. Its those moments which make this job so special sometimes. Kate & David were incredibly relaxed and the brief I had was: nudes and soft tones, then just do your thing!!! Loved it! We created giant floral wreaths, a foliage chandelier, a hanging table plan, lots of gorgeous florals and not forgetting a little bunch of mistletoe – well we couldn’t resist. Kate & David married on the Saturday before Christmas, but we wanted to keep the wedding wintry and not Christmassy. Wintry evergreen foliages played a big part in the floral scheme (there was a lot of hedgerow foraging!) and we really went wild and big with the style.
I will let the beautiful images from DJ Archer Photography speak for themselves. I think Kate is laughing in every single one of them! My favourite photo, without a doubt, is the last one – cutting the cake, its a fabulous image.
